Having said that, here's something you might already know: None of us want to spend our time reading or thinking about sexual harassment.
If you find yourself dreading opening the book, I get it. That's totally okay. When I was experiencing sexual harassment, I found myself thinking, "This can't really be happening," every time my boss would touch me. I had always been tough and taken care of myself in the past, so my brain couldn't even process how powerless I felt.
If you're worried something at your workplace is off, you could spend hours taking quizzes, looking for definitions, and even, if you're like me, justifying behavior you don't like.
The fact is, even if what you're experiencing is not "sexual harassment," you deserve to work in a healthy workplace. There are steps you can take to stop sexual harassment now or to prevent what you're experiencing from getting worse.
