Our Story
Meredith Holley founded Eris Conflict Resolution in 2017 to help people raised as women keep their careers and stop sexual harassment.
Early in her legal career, Meredith was hired in her dream job, litigating sexual harassment cases. The problem was that she was experiencing sexual harassment herself. Wanting to keep her career, she talked to other employment lawyers and asked, "How do we help people who want to keep their jobs, but don't want to get touched every day?" Over and over she heard, "Things are just discriminatory - you could quit." Like so many people who experience discrimination and harassment, she did not want to quit her job because it would have significantly impacted her career.
After more than a year of experiencing harassment, she finally found tools that work. She encountered the experience so differently that her harasser apologized, stopped touching her, and they worked together safely for years after.
Meredith founded Eris Conflict Resolution, where we teach our clients how to encounter harassers, abusers, and even predators using tools that work to shift power dynamics and keep their careers.
Lindsey Lamer joined the work at Eris first as a coaching client, deciding whether to take a chance on working in her partner's business, and later as our stellar legal assistant and office manager.
Shiwanni Johnson joined us first as a law clerk and is soon to be our Associate Attorney. Shiwanni is our resident expert on technological privacy and cyberstalking.
Our business is named after Eris, the Greek goddess of discord. The message of Eris is that it is through discord that we create music; it is through conflict that we create understanding; it is through chaos that we reach freedom. If you know someone who is going through conflict, we understand how painful that can be, but we also know it is possible to create growth and healing through that process.

Before investing in this program, my boss was sexually harassing at least one coworker and engaging in repeated disrespectful behavior towards women and people of different ethnicities.
I felt intensely anxious about my and my female colleagues' safety and well being. I felt incredibly unstable and like I couldn't handle things.
After investing in this program, my anxiety decreased exponentially! I learned so many life-changing skills from Meredith . . . . I became more confident in myself and truly began to believe that I can achieve my dream of becoming a professional artist and creating the life that I want. I improved my ability to set boundaries with my boss and with people in general.

"I kind of went into a deep, stressful place. I wasn’t functioning very well. I had to get on my feet and be able to be confident in myself after feeling like the bottom had fallen out for me. I like who I am now more than I liked who I was before the harassment even started."
